Femring (estradiol acetate)

Femring (estradiol acetate) is a form of estrogen a female hormone used to treat symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes and vaginal dryness burning and irritation.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • vomiting,
  • diarrhea,
  • shortness of breath,
  • confusion,
  • yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
  • dizziness,
  • pain spreading to your jaw or shoulder,
  • constipation,
  • fainting,
  • sweating,
  • chest pain or pressure,
  • increased thirst,
  • increased urination,
  • muscle weakness,
  • sudden numbness or weakness (especially on one side of the body),
  • slurred speech,
  • problems with vision or balance,
  • coughing up blood,
  • memory problems,
  • sudden vision loss,
  • muscle pain,
  • unusual vaginal bleeding,
  • sudden severe headache,
  • stabbing chest pain,
  • pain or warmth in one or both legs,
  • unusual behavior,
  • lump in your breast,
  • pelvic pain,
  • swelling or tenderness in your stomach,
  • bone pain, and
  • lack of energy
  • fever with nausea,
  • sunburn-like skin rash,
