Esclim (estradiol transdermal)

Esclim (estradiol) Transdermal System is a form of the female hormone estrogen used to treat moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause, vulval and vaginal atrophy, and hypoestrogenism due to hypogonadism, castration, or primary ovarian failure. The brand name Esclim is discontinued, but generic versions may be available.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- headache
- nausea
- diarrhea
- itching
- vomiting
- rash
- abdominal pain
- back pain
- mood changes
- bloating
- joint pain
- weakness
- weight changes
- skin redness or irritation at the application site
- breast tenderness/pain/swelling
- infection, anxiety
- flu symptoms
- runny nose
- vaginal yeast infection
- swelling of the extremities
- sinus infection
- menstrual irregularity
- anemia, and
- numbness or tingling feeling
