Epivir-HBV (lamivudine) Tablets and Oral Solution is a synthetic nucleoside analogue used to treat chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection associated with evidence of hepatitis B viral replication and active liver inflammation. The tablet form of Epivir-HBV is available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- loss of appetite,
- dark urine,
- vomiting,
- diarrhea,
- fever,
- swollen glands,
- night sweats,
- weight loss,
- tiredness,
- stomach pain,
- clay-colored stools,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- dizziness,
- wheezing,
- weakness,
- cough,
- menstrual changes, and
- feeling cold,
- severe pain in your upper stomach spreading to your back,
- fast or irregular heart rate,
- cold sores,
- trouble speaking or swallowing,
- problems with balance or eye movement,
- swelling in your neck or throat (enlarged thyroid),
- impotence
- unusual muscle pain,
- prickly feeling,
- swelling around your midsection,
