Enulose (lactulose solution)

Enulose (lactulose solution) is a synthetic disaccharide in solution form used to prevent and treat portal-systemic encephalopathy, including the stages of hepatic pre-coma and coma.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea,
- vomiting, and
- gas (flatulence),
- abdominal distension,
- belching,
- abdominal discomfort such as cramping,
- diarrhea (with excessive dosage)
The following drugs are related to Enulose, either as a replacement or used together:
- Dulcolax (bisacodyl suppositories)
- Lactulose Solution (lactulose solution)
- Suflave (polyethylene glycol 3350, sodium sulfate, potassium chloride, magnesium sulfate, and sodium chloride)
