Vasotec (enalapril maleate) is an ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme) inhibitor used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), congestive heart failure, kidney problems caused by diabetes, and to improve survival after a heart attack. Vasotec is available in generic form.

The drug is often used to treat Diabetes .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• weakness as your body adjusts to the medication.
