Empaveli (pegcetacoplan) is a complement inhibitor used to treat adult patients with paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH).

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • loss of appetite,
  • itching,
  • rash,
  • vomiting,
  • fever,
  • shortness of breath,
  • chills,
  • severe headache,
  • swelling
  • abdominal pain,
  • blood in your vomit, stool, or urine,
  • redness or swelling of your skin,
  • persistent sore throat, 
  • delayed healing for burns or cuts,
  • muscle or joint pain, and

  • Soliris (eculizumab)
  • Ultomiris (ravulizumab-cwvz injection)
