Prosom (estazolam) is an oral hypnotic agent indicated for the short-term management of insomnia characterized by difficulty in falling asleep, frequent nocturnal awakenings, and/or early morning awakenings.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• chest pain,
• nausea,
• headache,
• dizziness,
• indigestion,
• weakness,
• depression,
• confusion, 
• back pain,
• muscle stiffness, 
• feeling unwell (malaise),
• sleepiness,
• sore throat, and
• itching.
• cold symptoms,
• hypokinesia,
• abnormal coordination,
• lower extremity pain,
• abnormal thinking,
• abnormal dreams,
