Ellence (epirubicin hydrochloride)

Ellence (epirubicin hydrochloride) is used to treat breast cancer. It is a cancer (antineoplastic) medication. Ellence is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • vomiting,
  • diarrhea,
  • fever,
  • easy bruising,
  • unusual bleeding,
  • lightheadedness,
  • shortness of breath,
  • cold hands and feet,
  • chills,
  • tiredness,
  • swelling,
  • wheezing,
  • weakness,
  • unusual tiredness,
  • flu symptoms,
  • mouth sores,
  • muscle cramps,
  • rapid weight gain,
  • anxiety,
  • shallow breathing, and
  • fast or slow heartbeats,
  • pain when you breathe,
  • gasping for breath,
  • cough with foamy mucus,
  • tingling in your hands and feet or around your mouth,
  • purple or red spots under your skin,
  • feeling very thirsty or hot,
  • hot and dry skin,
  • heavy sweating,
  • severe vomiting,
  • inability to urinate,
  • pain, blistering, redness, or skin changes where the injection was given,
  • cold and clammy skin,
  • pale or blue-colored skin
