Elixophyllin (theophylline anhydrous liquid)
type of Phosphodiesterase Enzyme Inhibitors, Nonselective, Xanthine Derivatives
Elixophyllin (theophylline anhydrous liquid) is a methylxanthine indicated for the treatment of the symptoms and reversible airflow obstruction associated with chronic asthma and other chronic lung diseases, e.g., emphysema and chronic bronchitis.
The drug is often used to treat Asthma .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- fever,
- fluttering in your chest,
- seizure,
- constipation,
- increased thirst,
- increased urination,
- muscle weakness,
- irregular heartbeats,
- trouble sleeping,
- dry mouth, and
- fruity breath odor
- rapid heartbeats,
- leg cramps,
- numbness or tingling,
- limp feeling,
- severe or continued vomiting,
- ongoing headache,
