Eldepryl (selegiline hcl)

Eldepryl (selegiline hydrochloride) is a monoamine oxidase type B (MAO-B) inhibitor prescribed for the management of the symptoms of Parkinson's disease in patients already taking levodopa-carbidopa (also a drug prescribed for the treatment of Parkinson's disease).

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• dizziness,
• dry mouth,
• vomiting,
• diarrhea,
• weakness,
• sleep problems (insomnia),
• runny or stuffy nose,
• fainting,
• constipation,
• back pain,
• gas,
• heartburn,
• mouth sores or ulcers, or
• pain with swallowing (while using Zelapar)
