Edecrin (ethacrynic acid)

Edecrin (ethacrynic acid) is a loop diuretic (water pill) used to treat fluid retention (edema) in people with congestive heart failure, liver disease, or a kidney disorder such as nephrotic syndrome.
The drug is often used to treat Liver disease .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- lightheadedness,
- weight loss,
- confusion,
- chest pain,
- numbness,
- tingling,
- fluttering in your chest,
- constipation,
- headache,
- muscle weakness,
- muscle cramps,
- irregular heartbeats,
- slurred speech,
- coughing up blood,
- increased thirst or urination,
- hearing problems,
- severe weakness,
- loss of coordination, and
- leg cramps,
- limp feeling,
- problems with speech,
- feeling unsteady
- severe or watery diarrhea,
- feeling of fullness in your ear,
