Phospholine Iodide (echothiophate iodide for ophthalmic solution)

Phospholine Iodide (echothiophate iodide) for Ophthalmic Solution is a cholinesterase inhibitor that works by causing the pupil to shrink, decreasing the amount of fluid within the eye, and affecting certain eye muscles and is used to treat glaucoma by lowering the pressure inside the eye. Phospholine Iodide is also used to treat certain eye disorders involving eye accommodation (focusing).
This drug may have the following side effects:
- headache
- temporary irritation/burning/stinging of the eye
- eye redness or tearing
- temporary blurred vision
- eyelid muscle twitching
- poor vision in dim light
- headache, or
- brow ache
