Dyazide (hydrochlorothiazide and triamterene)

Dyazide (hydrochlorothiazide and triamterene) is a combination of a thiazide diuretic (water pill) and a potassium-sparing diuretic used to treat fluid retention (edema) and high blood pressure (hypertension). Dyazide is available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea,
- dark urine,
- vomiting,
- swollen glands,
- lightheadedness,
- tiredness,
- joint pain or swelling,
- chest pain,
- fluttering in your chest,
- blurred vision,
- muscle aches,
- headache,
- sore throat,
- little or no urination,
- muscle weakness,
- painful or difficult urination,
- swelling in your feet or ankles,
- eye pain,
- feeling restless,
- tunnel vision,
- seeing halos around lights,
- leg cramps,
- numbness or tingling,
- clay-colored stool,
- yellowing of eyes or skin (jaundice),
- increased thirst and urination,
- fast, slow or uneven heartrate,
- severe pain in the upper stomach or back,
- fever ,
- skin rash that may blister and peel,
- loss of movement in any body part,
- short of breath,
- unusual thoughts or behavior, and
- patchy skin color
