Duagen (dutasteride) is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor used to treat symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate gland. Duagen may be available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- fever,
- sore throat,
- burning eyes,
- skin pain, and
- red or purple skin rash with blistering and peeling
