Gianvi (drospirenone/ethinyl estradiol)

Gianvi (drospirenone/ethinyl estradiol) is an estrogen/progestin combined oral contraceptive (COC), indicated for use by women to prevent pregnancy, to treat symptoms of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) for women who choose to use an oral contraceptive for contraception, and to treat moderate acne for women at least 14 years old only if the patient desires an oral contraceptive for birth control.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- fatigue,
- irritability,
- menstrual irregularities,
- decreased sex drive,
- headache/migraine,
- nausea/vomiting,
- breast pain/tenderness,
- weight gain, and
- mood swings
