Lo-Zumandimine (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol tablets) is an estrogen/progestin combined oral contraceptive (COC), indicated for use by women to prevent pregnancy; to treat symptoms of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) for women who choose to use an oral contraceptive for contraception; and to treat moderate acne for women at least 14 years old only if the patient desires an oral contraceptive for birth control. Lo-Zumandimine is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • nausea,
  • vomiting,
  • headache,
  • fatigue,
  • irritability,
  • menstrual irregularities, 
  • decreased sex drive,
  • weight gain, and
  • migraine,
  • breast pain or tenderness,
  • mood changes or mood swings
