Nextstellis (drospirenone and estetrol tablets)

Nextstellis (drospirenone and estetrol tablets) is a combination of the female hormones progestin and estrogen, indicated for use by females of reproductive potential to prevent pregnancy.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • dark urine,
  • confusion,
  • rapid breathing,
  • yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
  • itching
  • fainting,
  • muscle weakness,
  • mood changes,
  • severe stomach pain,
  • thoughts of self-harm,
  • rash, and
  • unusual sweating,
  • weakness on one side of the body,
  • trouble speaking,
  • slow or irregular heartbeat,
  • sudden severe headache,
  • sudden vision changes,
  • sudden shortness of breath,
  • lumps in the breast,
  • unusual changes in vaginal bleeding (continuous spotting, sudden heavy bleeding, missed periods),
  • pain, swelling, warmth in the groin or calf,
  • worsening depression,
  • chest, jaw, left arm pain,
  • sudden or severe dizziness,
