Lymepak (doxycycline hyclate tablets)

Lymepak (doxycycline hyclate tablets) is a tetracycline class antibiotic indicated for the treatment of early Lyme disease (as evidenced by erythema migrans) due to Borrelia burgdorferi in adults and pediatric patients 8 years of age and older weighing 45 kg and above.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• weight loss,
• nausea,
• vomiting,
• diarrhea,
• rash,
• hives, and
• sun sensitivity (photosensitivity),
• hemolytic anemia

• Amoxil (amoxicillin)
• Ceftin (cefuroxime axetil)
• Cefuroxime (cefuroxime injection)
• Zinacef (cefuroxime)
