Zonalon (doxepin)

Zonalon (doxepin hydrochloride) Cream 5% is a tricyclic antidepressant used to relieve troublesome itching from certain skin conditions (e.g. atopic dermatitis eczema neurodermatitis). Zonalon should be used only for a short time (no more than 8 days).

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• confusion,
• severe drowsiness,
• painful or difficult urination,
• blurred vision, and
• severe dry mouth,
• new or worsening skin symptoms

The following drugs are related to Zonalon, either as a replacement or used together:

• Recedo (medical-grade topical silicone, topical gel)
• Opzelura (ruxolitinib cream)
