Sinequan (doxepin)

Sinequan (doxepin) is a tricyclic antidepressant used to treat symptoms of depression and/or anxiety associated with alcoholism, psychiatric conditions, or manic-depressive conditions. The brand name Sinequan is discontinued in the U.S. Generic forms are available.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• skin rash,
• lightheadedness,
• confusion,
• numbness,
• blurred vision,
• agitation,
• restlessness,
• muscle weakness,
• seizures,
• anxiety,
• panic attacks,
• trouble sleeping,
• impulsive behavior,
• irritableness,
• hostility,
• mood or behavior changes,
• hallucinations,
• pain,
• tremors,
• eye pain or swelling,
• tunnel vision,
• seeing halos around lights,
• bruising,
• severe tingling,
• restless muscle movements in your eyes, tongue, jaw or neck,
• suicidal thoughts,
• hyperactive (mentally or physically),
• aggressiveness,
• more depression,
• unusual thoughts,
• painful or difficult urination, and
• urinating less than usual
