Trusopt (dorzolamide hydrochloride ophthalmic solution)

Trusopt (dorzolamide) is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that reduces the amount of fluid in the eye, which decreases pressure inside the eye, used to treat open-angle glaucoma and other causes of high pressure inside the eye. Trusopt is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• headache,
• weakness,
• sore throat.
• watery eyes,
• temporary blurred vision,
• temporary burning/stinging/itching/redness of the eye,
• dry eyes,
• tired feeling,
• sensitivity of eyes to light,
• dry mouth, or
• bitter or unusual taste in your mouth,
