Juluca (dolutegravir and rilpivirine tablets, for oral use)

Juluca (dolutegravir and rilpivirine) is a combination of a human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) integrase strand transfer inhibitor (INSTI) and an HIV-1non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI) indicated as a complete regimen for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults to replace the current antiretroviral regimen in those who are virologically suppressed (HIV-1 RNA less than 50 copies per mL) on a stable antiretroviral regimen for at least 6months with no history of treatment failure and no known substitutions associated with resistance to the individual components of Juluca.
The drug is often used to treat HIV .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- loss of appetite,
- dark urine,
- vomiting,
- diarrhea,
- fever,
- swollen glands,
- night sweats,
- weight loss,
- clay-colored stools,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- wheezing,
- weakness,
- cough,
- menstrual changes, and
- mouth sores,
- right-sided upper stomach pain,
- anxiety,
- extreme tiredness,
- general ill feeling,
- cold sores,
- trouble speaking or swallowing,
- problems with balance or eye movement,
- swelling in your neck or throat (enlarged thyroid),
- impotence
- redness or swelling in your eyes,
- blistering or peeling skin,
- prickly feeling,
- thoughts about suicide or self-harm,
- sadness,
- feeling hopeless,
