Dovato (dolutegravir and lamivudine tablets)

Dovato (dolutegravir and lamivudine) is a combination of an integrase strand transfer inhibitor (INSTI) and a nucleoside analogue reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) indicated as a complete regimen for the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) infection in adults with no antiretroviral treatment history and with no known substitutions associated with resistance to the individual components of Dovato.

The drug is often used to treat HIV .

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • upper stomach pain,
  • loss of appetite,
  • dark urine,
  • vomiting,
  • diarrhea,
  • fever,
  • swollen glands,
  • night sweats,
  • weight loss,
  • tiredness,
  • stomach pain,
  • clay-colored stools,
  • yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
  • dizziness,
  • wheezing,
  • weakness,
  • cough,
  • menstrual changes, and
  • feeling cold,
  • trouble speaking,
  • skin rash (no matter how mild),
  • difficulty swallowing,
  • general ill feeling,
  • fast or irregular heart rate,
  • cold sores,
  • problems with balance or eye movement,
  • swelling in your neck or throat (enlarged thyroid),
  • impotence
  • joint or muscle pain,
  • blisters or mouth sores,
  • redness or swelling in your eyes,
  • blistering or peeling skin,
  • unusual muscle pain,
  • prickly feeling,
