Tikosyn (dofetilide)

Tikosyn (dofetilide) is an antiarrhythmic drug used to help keep the heart beating normally in people with certain heart rhythm disorders of the atrium (the upper chambers of the heart). Tikosyn is used in people with atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• headache,
• dizziness,
• diarrhea,
• sleep problems (insomnia),
• stomach pain,
• back pain,
• skin rash, or
• cold symptoms such as stuffy nose, sneezing, or sore throat.

• Coumadin (warfarin sodium)
• Lanoxin Injection (digoxin injection)
• Lanoxin (digoxin tablets)
• Dilacor XR (diltiazem hydrochloride capsule, extended release)
• Tiazac (diltiazem hcl)
• Lopressor (metoprolol tartrate)
• Lopressor HCT (metoprolol tartrate and hydochlorothiazide)
• Toprol XL (metoprolol succinate)
• Rythmol (propafenone)
• Rythmol SR (propafenose hydrochloride extended release capsules)
• Quinidine Sulfate (quinidine sulfate tablet, film coated, extended release)
