Docefrez (docetaxel)

Docefrez (docetaxel) is an antineoplastic (anticancer) drug used to treat patients with locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer after failure of prior chemotherapy. Docefrez is also used to treat locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer after failure of prior platinum-based chemotherapy and androgen independent metastatic prostate cancer. Docefrez or docetaxel (the drug brand name is Taxotere) is a generic form of Taxotere, available in Europe.
The drug is often used to treat Prostate cancer .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- upper stomach pain,
- loss of appetite,
- dark urine,
- vomiting,
- diarrhea,
- fever,
- easy bruising,
- unusual bleeding,
- lightheadedness,
- shortness of breath,
- confusion,
- chills,
- tiredness,
- clay-colored stools,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- blurred vision,
- swelling,
- wheezing,
- weakness,
- sore throat,
- burning eyes,
- skin pain,
- red or purple skin rash with blistering and peeling,
- mouth sores,
- muscle cramps,
- rapid weight gain,
- skin sores,
- fast or slow heart rate,
- extreme drowsiness,
- pale skin, and
- sudden vision problems,
- cold hands and feet
- chest tightness
- stomach pain or tenderness,
- pain, burning, irritation, or skin changes where the injection was given,
- loss of vision,
- redness or swelling in your arms or legs,
- skin rash or redness,
- blistering, peeling or bleeding of the skin,
- small red or white bumps that contains pus on the skin,
- numbness, burning, or tingling in your hands or feet,
- muscle weakness in your arms, legs, feet, or hands,
- tingling around your mouth,
- stumbling,
