Disalcid (salsalate)

Disalcid (salsalate) is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) in a group of drugs called salicylates used to reduce pain, swelling, and joint stiffness caused by arthritis. The brand name Disalcid is no longer available in the U.S. Generic versions may be available.

The drug is often used to treat Arthritis .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• upset stomach,
• heartburn, or
• mild dizziness.
