Propine (dipivefrin)

Propine (dipivefrin HCI ophthalmic solution) works by regulating the flow of fluid within the eye to maintain a normal pressure and is used to treat open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension (high pressure inside the eye). Propine is available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- blurred vision
- burning/stinging/irritation/itching of the eyes
- redness of the eye or eyelid
- eye pain
- headache, and
- increased sensitivity to light
