DTP (diphtheria and tetanus toxoids and pertussis vaccine adsorbed usp)

DTP (diptheria, tetanus toxoids and pertussis) Vaccine Adsorbed (For Pediatric Use) is a vaccine used for active immunization of children up to age 7 years against diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (whooping cough) simultaneously. DTP is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • vomiting,
  • fever,
  • drowsiness,
  • fretfulness,
  • weight loss (anorexia),
  • persistent crying, and
  • rarely, convulsions.

  • Boostrix (tetanus toxoid, reduced diphtheria toxoid and acellular pertussis vaccine, adsorbed)
