Diovan HCT (valsartan and hydrochlorothiazide)

Diovan HCT (valsartan/hydrochlorothiazide) is a combination of an angiotensin receptor blocker and a diuretic used for treating hypertension (high blood pressure). A generic formulation is available.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • lightheadedness,
  • dizziness,
  • diarrhea,
  • skin rash,
  • stomach pain,
  • sore throat, or
  • back pain,
  • stuffy nose,
  • fatigue,
  • tired feeling,
  • headaches,
  • dry cough.
