Unituxin (dinutuximab injection)

type of Antineoplastics Monoclonal Antibody

Unituxin (dinutuximab) injection is a GD2-binding monoclonal antibody indicated, in combination with granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), interleukin-2 (IL-2), and 13-cis-retinoic acid (RA), for the treatment of pediatric patients with high-risk neuroblastoma who achieve at least a partial response to prior first-line multiagent, multimodality therapy.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• low blood pressure (hypotension),
• vomiting,
• diarrhea,
• infections,
• anemia,
• fever,
• weight gain,
• swelling,
• hives, 
• bleeding,
• pain,
• high blood sugar (hyperglycemia),
• high blood pressure (hypertension),
• decreased appetite,
• fast heart rate, and
• low blood potassium (hypokalemia),
• low levels of platelets (thrombocytopenia),
• low levels of lymphocytes (lymphopenia),
• infusion reactions,
• low blood sodium levels (hyponatremia),
• increased alanine aminotransferase,
• capillary leak syndrome,
• low white blood cells (neutropenia),
• low blood albumin (hypoalbuminemia),
• increased aspartate aminotransferase,
• low blood calcium (hypocalcemia),
• numbness and tingling in the hands and feet.
