Dilatrate-SR (isosorbide dinitrate) Sustained Release is a vasodilator used to prevent angina pectoris due to coronary artery disease.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• lightheadedness,
• fast or slow heart rate,
• worsening chest pain,
• pounding heartbeats, and
• fluttering in your chest

The following drugs are related to Dilatrate SR, either as a replacement or used together:

• Brilinta (ticagrelor tablets for oral administration)
• Plavix (clopidogrel bisulfate)
• Effient (prasugrel tablets)
• Ranexa (ranolazine)
