Videx (didanosine pediatric powder for oral solution)

Videx (didanosine) also known as ddI, is an antiviral medication used to treat HIV, which causes the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Videx is not a cure for HIV or AIDS. Videx is available in generic form.

The drug is often used to treat HIV .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• nausea,
• loss of appetite,
• dark urine,
• vomiting,
• diarrhea,
• fever,
• swollen glands,
• night sweats,
• weight loss,
• tiredness,
• stomach pain,
• yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
• dizziness,
• wheezing,
• weakness,
• cough,
• menstrual changes, and
• feeling cold,
• vision changes,
• bloody or tarry stools,
• coughing up blood,
• vomit that looks like coffee grounds,
• fast heart rate,
• cold sores,
• trouble speaking or swallowing,
• swelling in your neck or throat (enlarged thyroid),
• impotence
• unusual muscle pain,
• irregular heart rate,
• upper stomach pain (that may spread to your back)
• numbness, tingling, or pain in your hands or feet,
• problems with balance or eye movements,
• pricky feeling,
