Proglycem (diazoxide capsules)

Proglycem (oral diazoxide) is a non-diuretic benzothiadiazine derivative that works by preventing insulin release from the pancreas, helping to return the blood sugar to normal levels used to treat low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) related to certain cancers that affect the pancreas and cause it to release too much insulin.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• lightheadedness,
• shortness of breath,
• blurred vision,
• dry mouth,
• swelling,
• increased thirst,
• increased urination,
• fruity breath odor,
• drowsiness,
• rapid weight gain,
• eye pain,
• hunger,
• dry skin,
• tunnel vision,
• seeing halos around lights,
• blurred vision, and
• weight loss
• breathing problems in an infant or newborn,

• Soliqua Injection (insulin glargine and lixisenatide)
• Nikita (pitavastatin)
