Dht (dihydrotachysterol)
type of 5-Alpha-Reductase Inhibitors
DHT (dihydrotachysterol) is a form of vitamin D used to treat hypocalcemia (lack of calcium in the blood) and hypoparathyroidism (lack of parathyroid hormone in the body). DHT may be available in generic form. The recommended dose of DHT does not usually cause side effects.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- loss of appetite,
- dry mouth,
- high blood pressure,
- increased thirst,
- increased urination,
- dry skin,
- muscle pain,
- stomach upset,
- changes in your bowel habits,
- weight loss, or
- unusual taste in the mouth
