Nuedexta (dextromethorphan hydrobromide and quinidine sulfate) Capsules is a central nervous system (CNS) agent used to treat involuntary outbursts of crying or laughing in people with certain neurological disorders.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • loss of appetite,
  • vomiting,
  • fever,
  • shortness of breath,
  • chest pain,
  • fluttering in your chest,
  • diarrhea
  • sweating,
  • agitation,
  • shivering,
  • flu symptoms,
  • vomiting, and
  • right-sided upper stomach pain,
  • hallucinations,
  • fast or pounding heartbeats,
  • sudden dizziness,
  • twitching,
  • pain or burning when you urinate,
  • fast heart rate,
  • muscle or joint pain,
  • easy bruising or bleeding,
  • loss of coordination,
  • muscle stiffness,
  • yellowing of your skin or eyes,
  • bleeding gums,
  • nosebleeds,
  • not feeling well,
  • rash or patchy skin color that worsens in sunlight,
The following drugs are related to Nuedexta Capsules, either as a replacement or used together:
  • Radicava ORS (edaravone oral suspension)
  • Qaslody (tofersen injection, for intrathecal use)
