Dexferrum (iron dextran injection, usp)

Dexferrum (iron dextran injection) is a form of the mineral iron indicated for treatment of patients with documented iron deficiency in whom oral administration is unsatisfactory or impossible.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• nausea,
• vomiting,
• fever,
• joint pain,
• blood in the urine,
• abdominal pain,
• convulsions,
• allergic reactions (including anaphylaxis),
• chest pain/tightness,
• increased white blood cell count (leukocytosis),
• respiratory arrest,
• arrhythmias, and
• bronchospasm

• Accrufer (ferric maltol capsules)
• Procrit (epoetin alfa)
• Epogen (epoetin alfa)
• Monoferric (ferric derisomaltose injection)
• Leukine (sargramostim)
• Lupron (leuprolide acetate injection)
• Nulecit (sodium ferric gluconate complex injection)
• Photrexa Viscous (riboflavin 5’-phosphate in 20% dextran ophthalmic solution)
