Ozurdex (dexamethasone intravitreal implant)

Ozurdex (dexamethasone) Intravitreal Implant is a steroid injected into the eye to treat swelling that may occur when there is a blockage of certain blood vessels in your eyes. Ozurdex is also used to treat non-infectious uveitis affecting the posterior (rear) segment of the eye.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• blurred vision,
• tunnel vision,
• seeing halos around lights,
• eye pain or redness,
• cloudy or hazy vision,
• eyebrow pain,
• changes in the shape of your pupil,
• increased sensitivity to light, and
• swelling, redness, severe discomfort, crusting or drainage from the eye
