Desonate (desonide gel)

Desonate (desonide) Gel is a topical (on the skin) corticosteroid used to treat the inflammation and itching caused by a number of skin conditions such as allergic reactions, eczema, and psoriasis.

The drug is often used to treat Psoriasis .

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • burning,
  • redness,
  • irritation,
  • blisters,
  • stretch marks
  • mild skin itching,
  • infection, or peeling;
  • dryness or scaly skin;
  • thinning or softening of your skin;
  • skin rash or irritation around your mouth;
  • swollen hair follicles;
  • changes in color of treated skin;
  • pimples (acne),
  • crusting of treated skin,
  • small dilated blood vessels on the skin, or
