Ortho-Cept (desogestrel and ethinyl estradiol tablets)

Ortho-Cept Tablets (desogestrel and ethinyl estradiol) is a combination of female hormones used as an oral contraceptive regimen indicated for the prevention of pregnancy.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea,
- vomiting,
- swelling,
- depression,
- bloating,
- nipple discharge,
- acne,
- abdominal cramps,
- spotting,
- vaginal yeast infection,
- migraine,
- changes in weight,
- problems with contact lenses,
- temporary infertility after discontinuation of treatment,
- changes in appetite,
- vaginal discharge,
- breast tenderness or enlargement,
- breakthrough menstrual bleeding,
- changes in or stopping of menstrual flow,
- darkening of facial skin,
- allergic reaction (rash, hives, and skin swelling),
- loss of scalp hair, and
- changes in sex drive
