Viorele (desogestrel and ethinyl estradiol, and ethinyl estradiol) is a combination of female hormones indicated for the prevention of pregnancy in women who elect to use this combination product as a method of contraception. Viorele is available as a generic.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- nausea,
- itching,
- dark urine,
- rash,
- fever,
- lightheadedness,
- chills,
- tiredness,
- stomach pain,
- clay-colored stools,
- dizziness,
- constipation,
- chest pain or discomfort,
- fainting,
- sweating,
- weakness,
- cough,
- vomiting, and
- anxiety,
- slurred speech,
- trouble breathing,
- vision changes,
- loss of coordination,
- sudden severe headache,
- slow or fast heartbeat,
- changes in skin color,
- absent or irregular menstrual periods,
- swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat,
- pain in the arms, jaws, back or neck,
- pain, warmth or swelling in one or both legs,
- vomit that looks like coffee grounds or blood
