Descovy (emtricitabine and tenofovir alafenamide tablets)

Descovy (emtricitabine and tenofovir alafenamide) is a two-drug combination of two HIV nucleoside analog reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs), and is indicated in combination with other antiretroviral agents for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults and pediatric patients 12 years of age and older.
The drug is often used to treat HIV .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- loss of appetite,
- dark urine,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice)
- vomiting,
- diarrhea,
- clay-colored stools,
- fast or shallow breathing,
- blood in the urine,
- stomach pain (upper right side),
- increased thirst,
- lower back or side pain,
- muscle cramps,
- muscle pain,
- sleepiness,
- little or no urine,
- unusual tiredness or weakness,
- weight gain, and
