Ontak (denileukin diftitox) is a is a recombinant DNA-derived cytotoxic protein that works by killing certain blood/cancer cells from the immune system (e.g., B cells, T cells), used to treat leukemia and lymphomas, including cutaneous (of the skin) T-cell lymphoma.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • shortness of breath,
  • dizziness,
  • rapid weight gain,
  • chest pain
  • little or no urine,
  • sudden swelling,
  • irregular heartbeats, and
The following drugs are related to Ontak, either as a replacement or used together:
  • Truxima (rituximab-abbs injection)
  • Ukoniq (umbralisib tablets)
The following supplements are related to Ontak, and may be used together with the drug:
  • Melatonin (s.)
  • Adenosine (s.)
