Demerol (meperidine)

Demerol (meperidine) is an oral and injectable opioid used for treatment of moderate to severe pain.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea,
- loss of appetite,
- vomiting,
- lightheadedness,
- confusion,
- severe drowsiness,
- dizziness,
- mood changes,
- slow heart rate,
- tremors,
- weak or shallow breathing,
- severe constipation,
- breathing that stops during sleep,
- weakness
- seizure (convulsions)
- worsening tiredness, and
- muscle movements you can’t control,
