Delestrogen (estradiol valerate)

Delestrogen (estradiol valerate injection) is a form of estrogen, a female hormone, used to treat symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes, and vaginal dryness, burning, and irritation. Delestrogen is also used to treat a lack of estrogen that is caused by ovarian failure or a condition called hypogonadism. Some forms of estradiol injection are used in men to treat the symptoms of prostate cancer. Delestrogen is available in generic form.
The drug is often used to treat Prostate cancer .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea,
- dizziness,
- depression,
- swelling of ankles or feet,
- impotence,
- difficulty having an orgasm,
- abdominal bloating,
- changes in menstrual periods,
- stomach cramps,
- acne or skin color changes,
- decreased sex drive,
- migraine headaches,
- vaginal pain/dryness/discomfort,
- vomiting, loss of appetite,
- swollen breasts,
- menstrual pain,
- break-through bleeding,
- decreased breast milk production,
- sinus pain or congestion, and yeast infection
