Rescriptor (delavirdine mesylate)

Rescriptor (delavirdine mesylate) is an antiviral medication used to treat HIV, which causes the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Rescriptor is not a cure for HIV or AIDS.

The drug is often used to treat HIV .

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • nausea
  • itching
  • diarrhea
  •  headache
  • rash, or
  • tiredness
  • worsening of a previous medical condition (such as an old infection)
  • cold symptoms (stuffy nose, sneezing, or sore throat).
