Emflaza (deflazacort oral suspension)

Emflaza (deflazacort) tablets or oral suspension is a corticosteroid indicated for the treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) in patients 5 years of age and older.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- fever,
- chills,
- tiredness,
- cough,
- sore throat,
- little or no urination,
- increased urination,
- mood changes,
- swelling of ankles or feet,
- eye pain,
- trouble sleeping, and
- increased appetite,
- excess thirst,
- blurry vision,
- slowed growth in children,
- skeletal weakness (if used for an extended time)
The following drugs are related to Emflaza, either as a replacement or used together:
- Amondys 45 (casimersen injection)
- Millipred (prednisolone tablets)
