Decavac (tetanus and diphtheria toxoids adsorbed) vaccine (also called Td) is used to help prevent tetanus (lockjaw) and diphtheria in adults and children who are at least 7 years old. It is an immunization. Decavac is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• lightheadedness,
• numbness,
• tingling,
• dizziness,
• weakness,
• pain,
• burning or prickly feeling, and
• vision or hearing problems
• severe pain, itching, swelling, or redness where the shot was given,
• high fever (over 102 degrees F),
• severe joint pain,

• BayTet (tetanus immune globulin (human) solvent/detergent treated 250 units)
• Infanrix (diphtheria and tetanus toxoids and acellular pertussis)
