Daptacel [(diphtheria and tetanus toxoids and acellular pertussis vaccine adsorbed (DTaP)] is an immunization used to help prevent the diseases of diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis. Most children who are vaccinated with DTaP will be protected throughout childhood. Daptacel is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• rash,
• dizziness,
• seizure,
• itching
• fainting,
• muscle weakness,
• severe dizziness, and
• vision changes,
• ringing in the ears,
• high fever (105 degrees F or 40 degrees C or higher),
• persistent crying,
• listlessness,
• unresponsiveness,
• floppy muscles,
