Farxiga (dapagliflozin film-coated tablets)

Farxiga (dapagliflozin) is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • loss of appetite,
  • vomiting,
  • fever,
  • lightheadedness,
  • confusion,
  • chills,
  • rapid breathing,
  • dizziness,
  • blurred vision,
  • weight gain,
  • dry mouth,
  • back pain,
  • headache,
  • increased heart rate,
  • fainting,
  • sweating,
  • weakness,
  • cough,
  • tightness in the chest,
  • unusual tiredness,
  • painful urination,
  • fruity breath odor,
  • seizures,
  • anxiety,
  • slurred speech,
  • depression,
  • nightmares,
  • fast heartbeat,
  • difficulty swallowing,
  • cold sweats,
  • little or no urine,
  • stomach pain, and
  • shakiness,
  • bladder pain,
  • pink or cloudy urine,
  • cool or pale skin,
  • frequent urge to urinate,
  • increased hunger and thirst,
  • itching of the vagina or genitals,
  • back or side pain,
  • thick, white vaginal discharge with mild or no odur,
  • foul smelling discharge from the penis,
  • pain in the skin around the penis,
  • redness, itching, or swelling of the penis,
  • sunken eyes,
  • wrinkled skin,
  • flushed, dry skin,
  • pain, tenderness, redness, or swelling of the area between the anus and genitals,
  • unexplained weight loss
