Danocrine (danazol)

Danocrine (danazol) is a steroid used to treat endometriosis and fibrocystic breast disease. Danocrine is also used to prevent attacks of angioedema in people with an inherited form of this disorder. The brand name Danocrine is discontinued, but generic versions may be available.

The drug is often used to treat Angioedema , Endometriosis .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• nausea,
• loss of appetite,
• dark urine,
• yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
• dizziness,
• vision problems,
• severe headache,
• weakness,
• sore throat,
• stomach pain (upper right side),
• unexplained muscle pain,
• sudden numbness or weakness,
• hair loss,
• bloody or tarry stools,
• vomit that looks like coffee grounds,
• ringing in your ears,
• tenderness,
• cough with bloody mucus,
• swelling or weight gain,
• hoarse or deepened voice,
• increased hair growth,
• acne or other skin problems,
• pain behind your eyes,
• problems with vision or speech, and
• swelling or redness in arm or leg
